YOUR PARTNER IN NEURODIAGNOSTIC CARE
With GMD, you’re never without expert support during an EEG study. If questions or technical concerns arise during the recording, our 24/7 EEG Support Line connects you with an experienced Registered EEG Technologist who can provide knowledgeable guidance and real-time assistance when you need it.
From troubleshooting equipment and addressing recording concerns to helping ensure study quality and continuity, our team is available to support both patients and healthcare professionals throughout the monitoring process. Instead of waiting or worrying about whether a study is progressing properly, you have access to specialized neurodiagnostic expertise designed to help keep testing on track.
EEG Setup & Disconnect
Depending on the patient’s needs, an EEG technologist will travel to the patient’s home, physician’s office, or hospital to set up the EEG and video equipment. The EEG technologist will explain the test in detail, apply the electrodes to the scalp, and show the patient how to log their daily activities and symptoms during the test.
After the test is completed, an EEG technologist will return to the patient’s home or physician’s office to disconnect the electrodes and collect all equipment
Intermittent Monitoring
Our registered EEG (cEEG) technologists intermittently review and scan patient EEG and video data at predetermined levels monitoring and alert attending ICU physicians or the interpreting neurologist of notable events. This improves efficiency and leads to faster and better-informed decisions regarding patient care.
EEG Pruning
When you require a solution to deliver complete EEG services, Grey Matter Diagnostics is the answer! Our highly trained EEG pruning technologists understand the importance of pattern recognition, medication effects, and differentiating electrical activity from non-cerebral activity that mimics these patterns.
Our EEG technologists perform technical review, annotation, event identification, and data pruning to identify and organize pertinent EEG information, including patient-logged events. Technical information is prepared for physician review and interpretation. Final diagnostic interpretation is completed by a qualified physician.
EEG Technician/Technologist Training
Our EEG training program provides comprehensive, competency-based education and hands-on experience to support professional development. We also provide guidance and resources for those pursuing registry certification through ABRET. Program completion does not guarantee employment, eligibility, certification, or exam success
