With GMD, you have an expert to turn to if you need support during the EEG recording. Instead of waiting or worrying, use our 24 hour EEG support line and get feedback from a Registered EEG Technologist anytime.

EEG Set-up & Disconnect

Depending on the patient's preference, an EEG tech will travel to the patients' home, physicians' office, or hospital setting to setup the EEG and video equipment. The EEG tech will explain the test in detail, apply the electrodes to the scalp, and show the patient how to log their daily activities and symptoms during the test.

After your test is completed, an EEG Tech will return to your home or the physician's office to disconnect the electrodes and collect all equipment.

Intermittent Monitoring

Our registered EEG (cEEG) technologists intermittently review and scan patient EEG and video data at predetermined levels monitoring and alert attending ICU physicians or the interpreting neurologist of notable events. This improves efficiency and leads to faster and better-informed decisions regarding patient care.

EEG Pruning

When you require a solution to deliver complete EEG services, Grey Matter Diagnostics is the answer! Our highly trained EEG pruning technologists understand the importance of pattern recognition, medication effects, and differentiating electrical activity from non-cerebral activity that mimics these patterns. By fully understanding the significance of their roles', our technologists strive to bridge the gap between the patient and physician by extensively scanning the EEG data and highlighting pertinent information, such as patient logged events with abnormal EEG activity. The pruning technologist will then compose an EEG report of the findings tailored to the physicians' preference.

EEG Technician/Technologist Training

Grey Matter Diagnostics prepares you to become a highly-skilled technologist who performs electroencephalograms (EEGs). An EEG assesses the electrical patterns in the brain to determine abnormalities and help identify nervous system disorders. Our training includes basic EEG waveform recognition, proper 10-20 International System electrode placement, and EEG system operations. Seizures, brain tumors, neurological disorders and congenital abnormalities are thoroughly explored. These conditions are presented with emphasis on their effect on the EEG pattern and the patientā€™s health and well-being. You'll be confident in your skills and prepared to begin your career upon completion of our EEG Training Program. Our EEG Training Program can also assist technicians in preparing for the ABRET EEG Registry Exam.
